Client complaint policy
The Maitland client complaints policy has been designed for use in the event of any client complaint of
a non-routine and serious nature. Specific reference is made to complaints related to the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 2002 (the FAIS Act). The definition of a complaint in terms of this Act is included in the policy.

Section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act No.2 of 2000, (“the Act”) requires that
the Maitland companies in South Africa as private bodies must compile a manual giving
information to the public regarding the procedure to be followed in requesting information from
Maitland for the purpose of exercising or protecting rights.

Conflict of interest management policy
Maitland is required to maintain and operate effective organizational and administrative
arrangements with a view to taking all reasonable steps to identify, disclose and manage conflicts
of interest.
