Chris Theo is an international lawyer with over 25 years experience and expertise in private client advisory, international contracts and corporate matters. Originally from South Africa, he was a partner in the law firm Feinsteins Inc. in Johannesburg and then established his own practice, specialising in commercial contract law. Following eleven years as legal counsel and then Vice President for a large Swedish construction group, Chris joined Maitland in 2007. His private client work includes advising clients on asset and wealth protection, tax and succession matters, and offshore structuring, as well as a wide variety of contractual issues.
Chris obtained a BComm (Accountancy and Economics) and LLB from the University of the Witwatersrand. He was admitted as an Attorney in South Africa in 1980.
