At Maitland we believe that no single fund manager can be an expert across all asset classes and investment strategies. We also believe that certain classes and investment strategies are better accessed through cost efficient passive indexed trackers. Accordingly we have developed a structured process to:
- formulate of top-down financial market outlook
- identify those asset classes and investment strategies which we believe offer appropriate opportunity and risk
- select and monitor managers we believe have the capabilities to execute such strategies in the chosen asset class
- construct optimally diversified portfolios or multi-manager funds invested across specialist investment managers covering the full spectrum of asset classes
- consolidated investment reporting.
All potential investment products and service providers are subjected to a rigorous quantitative and qualitative screening process, in which we examine and evaluate managers, review their investment processes and also conduct due diligence to ensure that the necessary administrative controls are in place.
