Benjamin Reid joined Maitland in 2013 with a primary focus on establishing and developing the group’s Latin American (LatAm) offering. Today, his team manage a client base with over $1.5bn in Assets Under Management.
Prior to joining Maitland, Benjamin was involved in the set up and roll-out of LatAm desks at three of the world’s biggest financial institutions (BOA Merrill Lynch, RBC and HSBC).
Benjamin is a fully qualified financial adviser (CF30) under the FCA and a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Over the past decade Benjamin has built up a deep understanding of the investment fund universe with a specific focus on the Bahamas, BVI, Cayman and Luxembourg. He brings a wealth of experience in offshore structuring with a specific focus on offshore tax compliance and transparent investment vehicles for UHNW private clients and investment fund managers.
In 2019, Benjamin was appointed as chair of the Latin America Working group for the distinguished Cayman Finance.
