Rupert Clarey joined Maitland in May 2013 in London. Rupert’s expertise, built up over some 10 years, is in advising UHNW individuals, trustees and institutions in relation to the establishment and administration of trust and company structures and all aspects of tax planning in relation thereto. This includes providing advice to individuals resident but not domiciled in the UK, and providing guidance on the UK remittance rules.
Prior to joining Maitland, Rupert was a senior associate with Stonehage in London for seven years and a solicitor/trust officer with Rathbone Trust Company (Geneva and Jersey) for four years. He trained as a solicitor at a firm in Jersey.
